10x47 Ring Toroid

Introduction

After 18 years of making toroids out of aluminum dryer duct and corrugated ABS pipe covered in foil tape, I finally decided to make a proper “skeleton” or “ring” toroid. Lacking a CNC mill, a source for large OD aluminum tubing, and not wanting to spend a small fortune having ring supports CNC machined, I took inspiration from fellow coiler Fabricio Franzoli and designed a 3D printed ABS center hub and ring support to hold 13 1/2” aluminum fuel line rings.
